WATCH schoolchildren starring in an advert highlighting qualities that make a good teacher.

Pupils from Northbrook Secondary School in Leahurst Road, Lewisham, took part in the shoot for the Training and Development Agency for Schools on Wednesday, February 24.

It will be shown to teaching candidates at the national Train to Teach recruitment events tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday in Kensington.

Research by the Training and Development Agency for Schools shows the “vast majority” of university graduates think teaching is low paid with slow career development.
